Woodland branch escort cards with cheerful fabric ties

Charlie / 2 May 2012

wood branch escort cards

This is such a sweet idea for escort or place cards at your wedding – small wood off-cuts with your guests names written on them.  What I think really makes this idea, it the tiny cotton hangers threaded through a hole drilled into the wood, in all different fabrics.  You could use up lots of fabric scraps to create these.

Perhaps if you stamped an image on the other side then your guests would be more inclined to keep them and use them – perhaps as a keyring, Christmas tree ornament or decoration?  I’m all for lovely things to give to your guests, but I’m a little sceptical as to whether they really want something with your names (bride and groom) or your wedding date, unless they are your granny.

With a crafty/DIY member of your family I’m sure these would be easy to create, however if you don’t have someone like that to call in a favour with, perhaps a company like Made Lovingly Made might be able to help – they create beautiful items out of wood, such as cufflinks and puzzle guestbooks.
