Firstly I want to apologise for the lack of more blog posts in recent days – I am snowed under getting ready for my March birthday celebration month, so not wanting to spontaneously combust I’ve reduce the blog posts to daily rather than twice daily just until I get prepared!

I seem to be going down a bit of wedding table theme at the moment – if you haven’t seen my recent blog post on dinner party style wedding table layouts do have a look for some inspiration.  Whenever I’m scouring the internet to find ideas to share with you, the ones I usually save are the ones that just grab me.

This image above was one of those.  If you are going for round tables it is often more difficult to have a table runner and sometimes they are so huge they don’t feel very intimate for your guests.

For me, this is a wonderful example of how round tables can work – seating just six it is much more cosy than a giant table of ten, and folded tea towels (I say tea towels because they look very similar to ones we have at home bought from Ikea, but you could use any fabric to create the same effect) to set out each persons place.

If you are going for round tables, or if you are restricted by what you wedding venue has available, then why not think of how you can make them feel more personal and intimate.  If I could plan my wedding all over again, this idea of place settings marked out with varying patterned tea towels or fabric in similar colours would be in my top choices.
