Pink rose and foxglove wedding cake

I picked this cake to share today because it’s a bit over-the-top (in a wonderfully beautiful way) and very celebratory – and I’m getting in a celebratory mood with my website birthday month celebrations less than a week away.  If you haven’t heard what’s planned, do have a read of this blog post.

I can’t help but think of Keats when I look at this wedding cake, and rose bowers, something I’m sure I remember studying at school when reading his poetry.  Whether my my memory is correct or not, it’s is a stunning cake with its cascading pink roses and foxglove tendrils with their tips of flowers not yet opened.

I also love the puddle of foliage and petals strewn around the base of the cake – it makes you think the cake goes on forever and almost like it is alive and growing out from the table.  It is a true beauty in all its natural glory.
