It seemed only fitting that since this time tomorrow I will be in Paris with my sister that I share a wintery Paris wedding. This one with snow and a cosy reception was just how I’d imagine a Paris wedding at this chilly but magical time of year.
I love that the couple got married on a grand staircase with their family and friends all around them – what a lovely idea – and what a stunning backdrop with that huge window looking out onto a snowy landscape.

The tables were decorated minimally (if you take a look at the reception room you’ll see it didn’t need much decorating!) but they used moss and fir cones to bring in a touch of the outside.

I just love the warm glow given off by lots of candles and the gorgeous chandeliers – this is the type of atmosphere I’m always trying to create at home. As a guest at this wedding I would never have wanted to leave such a cosy party.

And finally, this photo for me is one of those iconic wedding photographs with the bride and groom in all their finery wandering through a snow storm. Who else wants to be in that picture right now…so romantic!
