Acorn cap floating beeswax candles for an autumn wedding
Etsy is a treasure-trove of wonderful goodies, I can’t tell you how much I love it. I spotted these tiny floating candles, made from beeswax filled acorn caps, and just thought they would be beautiful for an autumn wedding. In bowls of water, perhaps like below with addition of colourful autumn leaves, they would look simply stunning on your reception tables. What a genius idea they are – what do you think? They’d go really well with this idea for place cards made from oak leaves. They are available from Etsy seller Green Baboon Designs.

These pretty vintage teacup candles are made by one of the newest additions to the directory – For The Love Of Vintage. Winter hair garland of wax flowers and ivy
If you’re planning a winter wedding for 2012 and you fancy something quite earthy and in tune with the natural world, then this gorgeous hair garland of wax flowers and ivy would fit in wonderfully. I’m imagining something along the lines of roaring log fires, mugs of hot mulled cider and lots of ivy hung everywhere…very Robin Hood. I think these flower garlands would be equally at home at a wedding …

A colourful flea market wedding with bridesmaids in funky tights
This sweet Canadian wedding has all those fun details we love at the moment, including flea market finds, a bride with incredible style in a knee length wedding dress and birdcage veil, and bridesmaids wearing funky tights. I don’t think I will ever get tired of people finding unusual old items to become vases for wedding flowers. I do this at home and would like to think that other brides don’t stop these habits at their wedding day. What classic accessories the bride chose with that subtle but striking a necklace and that sweet veil. The groom and his men …

Cake love: candid cupcakes with personalised photo flags
A fun DIY idea on how to personalise a mountain of wedding cupcakes – print off tiny pictures of you and your husband-to-be, mount them on card and pop each one onto a cocktail stick. Then place one in each of your cupcakes. So simple, but really effective, and I love that all the photos are in black and white. Images: Olivia Brabbs Photography
