Blog
Recently I’ve been on some blustering walks with the dog and I realised how much I love nature and being outdoors, no matter how cold and windy it is. It got me thinking about couples who are getting married at this time of year, and what I would do if I was having an October/November wedding.
If you’ve followed the blog for a while you’ll know I’m an advocate of looking to the seasons and what nature provides. So looking around on my walks I can’t help but notice the abundance of acorns lying around. Then I came across this lovely idea to make jam jar lanterns a little more interesting and seasonal simply by filling them with dried acorns.
I want to go out with a basket and collect some to do this at Christmas – but equally if I was getting married in October, I would be incorporating this idea into my wedding. Whether they be dotted around the ceremony location or wedding venue, or placed on the tables for dinner, I think they are so simple but just so perfect.
